Sensory Deprivation Tank

Have any of you ever been in one of these?

Because of my travels in South America I learned a bit about ayahuasca and dmt – the spirit molecule. In some discussions about these with friends, someone mentioned they had gone to a sensory deprivation tank. He described it to me as “forced meditation.” I was immediately intrigued. I did a little bit of research and found a place near me that does it. From my understanding, you basically go into a room with a tank. It is pitch black so you don’t have your sight. It is completely silent. You lay in a tank filled with water. The crazy part is that the water is warm and has epsum salt in it, the same amount of salt to water ratio your body has. This causes you to float. The trippy part is supposed to be that because you are floating you will eventually stop feeling your body as well. All you will have to guide you is your mind. It is supposed to do wonders for your mind and soul, help you relax and work through lingering issues in your life.

I made an appointment a few weeks ago, and I’m heading out in a couple of hours. I am so excited!!!

Here is a video from Joe Rogan explaining the tank a bit… listen to it if you have 5 min to spare.
